The CIM Excellence Awards

The Marketing Trust were pleased to become founding sponsors of The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Excellence Awards in 2009 and has agreed to continue sponsorship until spring 2012.

click here to go to the Marketing Excellence Awards websiteAs the body that maintains, develops and sets the national marketing industry standards, The Chartered Institute of Marketing launched the annual national Marketing Excellence Awards to reward excellence and best practice in marketing across a wide spectrum of activities. The Awards are open to all marketing individuals and companies based in the UK, whether they are members of The Institute or non-members.

The Marketing Trust believed that by encouraging leading practicing marketing professionals and organisations to seek involvement in the Awards programme - as judges, sponsors, finalists and winners it would not only improve the overall performance of those involved, but the attendant publicity would focus the attention of a wider public on marketing best practice.

The Marketing Trust also sponsored the winner in the not for profit section.

The success of the 2009 Awards presentation evening and the 2010 competition has ensured the event is well established and will hold flagship status by 2011, the year of The Institute's Centenary.

The individual/ team categories are:

• marketing newcomer of the year
• marketer of the year
• marketing team of the year

Each category is judged by one industry marketing professional, one editor from a leading industry media and one of The Institute's course directors or senior examiners. Judges look for excellence and will recognize exemplary contribution to the profession.
